The Piper
Sacramento's premier solo bagpiper — bringing the tradition, music, and heart of the Highland pipes to your most meaningful moments.
My Story
I started learning the bagpipe when I was about 40 years old. I learned and competed with a couple Sacramento area pipe bands and competed as a soloist for many years.
I enjoy the music and history of the bagpipe and sharing those with others. There's something about the pipes that connects people to something larger than themselves — a tradition that stretches back centuries and still moves people deeply today.
Whether it's the joy of a wedding processional, the solemnity of a memorial, the excitement of a golf tournament, or the pride of a graduation — I bring genuine care and professionalism to every performance.
Started learning the bagpipe at 40 — proof that it's never too late to pursue a calling.
Trained and competed with Sacramento area pipe bands and as a solo competitor for many years.
Proudly serving Sacramento, Roseville, Folsom, Davis, and the greater Northern California region.
From weddings and memorials to golf tournaments and graduations — the pipes fit every meaningful moment.
The Tradition
The Great Highland Bagpipe is one of the world's most recognizable and emotionally powerful instruments. Its roots stretch back through centuries of Scottish and Celtic culture — played at battles, funerals, weddings, and celebrations alike.
Today, the pipes continue to carry that same emotional weight. When you hear them, you feel something — a connection to history, to community, to the moments that matter most. That's what Bruce brings to every performance.
